Decyfer Down Unveils New Album 'The Other Side Of Darkness,' Sets For 39-City Tour
Along with its city tour in 39 cities, Christian rock band Decyfer Down is set to release its new album "The Other Side Of Darkness" this first second quarter of 2016.
According to a press release, the band had opted to have a "no-holds-barred" take to "The Other Side Of Darkness," which aims to yield an informed decision to defeat its comfort zone.
In a statement, Decyfer Down guitarist Chris Clonts said that he knew every artist said that one was the best album they had ever done; however, he believed that there was definitely some of the best sounding stuff they had done in a long time just because there were no limits. For the band guitarist, they could write about whatever they wanted to write, adding that they were not in a box.
Aside from Conts, Decyfer Down includes Brandon Mills on the guitar, TJ Harris on vocals/guitar, Benjamin Millhouse on drums, and Chris Furr on bass.
In the same interview, Harris said that more than ten years of doing music had been a crazy trip; however, he views it as an "awesome" experience. Mills also said that they definitely hoped people were encouraged and challenged through the record, adding that they were just enjoying the whole process again.
"Nothing More," the lead single from Decyfer Down's album, is described as a "fists-in-the-air" anthem to encourage fans to walk forward with God, despite of obstacles along the way.
The group has also begun their 39-city tour on Feb. 17 at Carthage Civic Center, which was followed by Fiesta Latina Balloom on Feb. 18. The last city for the tour is set to be the OpenWater Church in Odessa, Florida on Apr. 30. Other tour details can be viewed on Decyfer Down's website.
The song landed on the 15th spot and has continuing rising following nine weeks on the Billboard Christian rock chart. It also managed to hit number five and climb to the top of the Christian Music Weekly chart.
Following the band's hiatus for two years, the group reportedly reveled in its "newfound freedom" as an independent band to pen, perform, record, and release new music.
Decyfer Down's "The Other Side Of Darkness" is set to be released on Apr. 1.
