'Death Stranding' News: Title Designer Hideo Kojima Discusses Game's Current Development
Kojima Productions' "Death Stranding" is coming soon and game designer Hideo Kojima discussed the title's current status.
In a statement at San Diego Comic-Con, as cited by Games Radar, Kojima teased that he was trying to determine how big the title was going to be. He said that he was trying to figure out technologically how big a tsunami they could make and render, in addition to how much city he could make and be washed away.
For Kojima, it was all about the speed of processing, adding that those were the kinds of tests they had to do before they knew could make scene like that.
In terms of gameplay, Kojima also expressed his thoughts. In the same interview, he said that he had been trying to arrive at a world that they would be able to express, as well as the number of the gaming elements they would be able to put there. Also, he said that it looked like things were coming together and they were reaching a point where he could see where it was going.
"We were just about to settle on an engine and from there start fully on development," Kojima said.
According to IGN, "Death Stranding" is currently going to be under Sony and is set to be released for the PlayStation 4 as an exclusive title for the console. As per the publication, Kojima's statement suggests that he is making an attempt to bring a unique sort of gaming experience to the players.
Developed by Kojima Productions, "Death Stranding" is set to be released for the PlayStation 4 and exact details on the title's release date are yet to be revealed.
