'Deadpool' News: Ryan Reynolds Speaks on the Possibility of Appearing in 'X-Men' Movies

With Fox finally producing the 'Deadpool' movie, fans now have one thing on their mind, and that is how and when does the studio plans to integrate the character into 'X-Men' films.

Actor Ryan Reynolds recently hinted at a possible Wolverine cameo in the 'Deadpool' film, so this still could possibly work the other way around.

In a recent interview with Screen Rant, the actor provided his thoughts on the issue:

"That's a damn good question. You tell me. It would be kind of hard, wouldn't it? Because you have a character - let's say you have a character who knows he's in a comic book movie, that sort of breaks the fourth wall [and] has a tendency to kind of say people's real names instead of their characters' names. How do you introduce that into another universe that...does not do that? So...I don't know. I'd be curious to say. I'm not saying that's not going to happen. I don't know if it's going to happen. I would love to see that.

"You have to be very careful about how you do that because you don't want to do a disservice to any one of these characters that are beloved by everyone."

Reynolds raises a good point. Deadpool has never been a character created for movies, he's classically been made strictly for comics. This is probably why the project took so long to get greenlighted. What we see in the actual 'Deadpool' movie is also likely a lightened version of the character, as his comic book antics just wouldn't translate well to the big screen.

Much like anything else in the comic book universe, if the fans demand it enough, it shall happen. Fox is planning some major crossovers for a lot of there comic book properties, and it wouldn't be likely they'd totally leave out the Deadpool character.
