‘Deadpool’ Movie Cast News: Gina Carano & T. J. Miller Join Ryan Reynolds in Upcoming Feature Film
Finally, it appears that Tim Miller's sci-fic adventure film 'Deadpool' is coming together. Initially, it all started off with a rogue idea and a few leaked pilot footage, but now it has developed in to a complete character featuring a cast that seems to be ever-increasing.
IB Times reports that only two days after the news that possibly two to three new actors will be joining the 'Deadpool' cast, Ryan Reynolds tweeted the maiden image of the mask that he will be wearing in the movie.
The report quotes the Hollywood Reporter saying the Gina Carano of 'Fast & Furious 6' fame is joining the cast of Fox's 'Deadpool' movie officially together with T. J. Miller, who starred in 'Silicon Valley.' The latter been cast in a yet to be named role that will provide some comedic relief to the movie. In fact, this is unlikely to be an easy job as Deadpool has an inclination to bring his individual comic relief to the comic-book storylines.
According to latest reports, Carano will be portraying the character of Angel Dust in the Marvel comic-book storyline. CinemaBlend reports that Angel Dust possesses the aptitude to augment her adrenaline, providing her with super-strength. Although the character is not supposed to be the most well-liked female mutant to collaborate the mercenary in the comics, Fox is well-known for playing fast as well as loose with the original storyline.
Latest reports suggest that the story of the upcoming movie will emphasize on a mercenary named Wade Wilson, who, while trying to battle his cancer diagnosis, goes through some sort of experimental treatment that causes awful scars on his face and body. However, the experiment endows him with superpowers.
The original story of Deadpool in the comic books is similar. The character receives several super powers, including a healing ability akin to what is possessed by Wolverine in 'X-Men' movies. In one way 'Deadpool' can be said to be unique - the protagonist has a somewhat famous comic-book storyline wherein he becomes aware of the fact that he is simply a comic-book character and that the writers created all the superheroes around him.
According to an original leaked script, 'Deadpool' will deal with this by making Reynolds' character speak directly to the camera.
As of now, 'Deadpool' is scheduled to be released on Feb. 12, 2016.
