'Deadpool 2' News, Release Date: Blake Lively Replaces Morena Baccarin As Another Love Interest?
Rumors about the upcoming sequel of "Deadpool" have it that the Merc with the Mouth is going to have a new love interest.
According to reports, a major revamp with regard to the female lead is one of the things that fans should look forward to in the film.
In the first movie, Ryan Reynolds had a sex scene with Morena Baccarin and Reynolds' wife, Blake Lively, was reportedly not too happy about it. This led to speculations that Lively will replace Baccarin as Deadpool's love interest in "Deadpool 2."
When Lively guested at "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," she talked about her feelings after watching that scene in the first "Deadpool" movie. The actress said it was "an unusual form of torture," as she had to watch it on a plane with so many people watching too, including their two-year-old daughter.
The actress admitted that she hated seeing Reynolds having intimate scenes with another actress. Due to this, there are speculations that she will replace Baccarin in the sequel.
The last time that the real-life couple got paired up was in "Green Lantern," where Reynolds portrayed Hal Jordan and Lively played Carol Ferris. Back then, Reynolds was still married to Scarlett Johansson while Lively was busy with her collaborations with Badgley Mischka.
While speculations about her joining the cast of "Deadpool 2"continue to rise, some believe that her pregnancy will prevent her from doing heavy action scenes. The actress confirmed last April that she was pregnant with her second child.
"Deadpool 2" is slated for release sometime in 2017.
