'Deadpool 2' Allegedly Confirmed; 'Deadpool' Sequel Set To Keep Same Production Team?

R-rated action comedy "Deadpool" started showing on the big screen today and it has been speculated that the superhero will end up bagging an enormous profit at the box office. While waiting for the official sales tally, a sequel is reportedly already a work in progress.

Fox allegedly has given the green light for "Deadpool 2," as insiders told Hollywood Reporter. According to them, writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are ready for the follow-up script.

On the other hand, director Tim Miller has not signed on to work on the sequel yet, but the insiders said that Fox wants to keep the same production team for the next installment.

It was also noted on Reporter that "Deadpool" was on the verge of cancellation but that the team, including lead star Ryan Reynolds, united against the system just to make the film. And so, here comes the "Merc With A Mouth," ready to invade theaters across the United States.

As for the film, "Deadpool" is said to be perhaps the "best comic book movie ever."

Forbes noted that Deadpool is not our ordinary superhero because of his sarcastic wit that sets him apart from any other generic superhero lead character.

More than that, his two sidekicks- the positive thinker Colossus, played by Stefan Kapicic, and the over-pessimistic Negasonic Teenage Warhead, played by Brianna Hildebrand elevated fans interest in the movie due to their interesting personalities.

How did Deadpool originally manage to conquer the heart of the fans? He was first created as a collaborative effort by writer Fabien Nicieza and artist Rob Liefeld. The witty hero was first introduced in 1991s "New Mutants #98."
