'Dark Souls 3' Update, Patch 1.06 Details: Bugs, Matching Levels of Weapons Corrected
The "Dark Souls 3" patch 1.06 update corrected some imbalances in the game, particularly the matching levels of weapons, as well as fixing the bugs.
According to the report, From Software introduced the patch 1.06 update in order to adjust the Blade of the Darkmoon and Blue Sentinels in "Dark Souls 3," particularly for their ranges.
The Darkmoon and Blue Sentinels are typically summoned as defensive weapons against opponents. But the ranges don't usually match between the one who summons as well as the summoned-in fact the difference between them can reach 30 levels.
Also, the "Dark Souls 3" patch update 1.06 also adjusts the efficiency of the Short Showd, Magic and the Twinsword as well as "other game balance improvement and bug fixes."
"The assumption within the community is that efficiency is meant to reference stamina and FP costs," Game Rant said. "So 'Magic' efficiency changes should hopefully mean spells are cheaper to cast, or 'Short Sword' efficiency changes meaning players get more sword swings for less stamina."
Meanwhile, the second expansion pack for "Dark Souls 3" won't be arriving until next year.
This was confirmed by director Hidetaka Miyazaki himself as he said that the first DLC will likely be released in the fall of this year. After that, they can then focus on the second expansion in the early part of 2017, the report said.
From Software has no long-term plans for "Dark Souls 3" right after the second expansion, or perhaps the 1.06 patch update.
"What is certain for now is, to me personally Dark Souls is over," Mizayaki said. "So rather than make another sequel, I think it's time we take a step to a new direction. Development of a new IP has already begun."
