'Dark Souls 3' Release Date, News: Strategy Guide Adds Paper Craft Sword; Game Runs At 60fpc on PC
In addition to the reveal that "Dark Soul 3" is set to run at 60fps on PC, it has also been revealed that the game's strategy guide is set to come with a Game Stop bonus.
According to Game Stop's official website, players are set to get a Game Stop exclusive paper craft sword if they purchase the "Dark Souls 3" collector's edition official strategy guide, which comes with a 192 page Darksign Journal. The sword is stuck in a stone, which is labeled with the "Dark Souls 3" logo on its base. The guide is set to be released in April at $39.99. The book can be purchased on the website.
Game Stop has not revealed the dimensions of the said paper craft sword, but is stands as a cool piece to display on a desk inside one's room or a gift to an avid fan of "Dark Souls" items. The "Dark Soul 3" strategy guide is reportedly similar to the standard version, as it also provides useful information about the game weapons, key items, villains, and the gameplay itself, as per Attack of the Fanboy.
On Mar. 11, "Dark Souls" tweeted on its official account that the game is set to run at 60 FPS on PC. According to vg247, seeing the game at the said frame rate is significant, since players always wanted the best frame rate possible, with the belief that larger numbers are better. As per the publication, this feature would help the player distinguish angles that are safe and hazardous to the player's character, which could be boost the game's marketability.
"Dark Souls 3" is set to launch in April on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC while the collector's edition strategy guide is going to be released on Apr. 12.
