'Dark Souls 3' News Update: Bandai Namco Reports Favorable Game Sales
Bandai Namco and FromSoftware's "Dark Souls 3" has had favorable sales, raising the title's predicted earnings.
According to Bandai Namco's report on the consolidated projections for the second quarter of 2016, "Dark Souls 3's" sales had been favorable, including its repeat titles, and the titles owned by other firms sold using the company sales network. These cover the home video game software in the Network Entertainment Business in Europe and North America.
In the report, the projections for the title's net sales increased from 275,000 to 290,000. The projections for the operating income, recurring income, profit attributable to parent owners, and basic earnings per share also increased by 9,000, 8,500, 7,500, and 34.14 yen.
The consolidated projections for the the second quarter output is assumed to surpass the consolidated projections dated May 11, in line with the actual results for the first quarter and the latest business patterns of every business segment.
A case in point was the three million title copies, shipped in May, according to Gamespot. However, the output following the sales was unclear, as per the publication.
"Dark Souls 3" is FromSoftware's action role-playing game and fourth entry in the "Souls" series. Set in Lothric kingdom, it involves the First Flame, which is signaled through a bell ring. It is responsible for stretching the life of the Age of Fire, which is dying.
FromSoftware's "Dark Souls 3" was released on March 24. It is playable on Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
