'Dark Souls 3' DLC Release Date, News Update: New Content Set For Fall Launch; Characters Invisible With NPC Suit?

New details on the release date and gameplay of FromSoftware's "Dark Souls 3" DLC have surfaced.

FromSoftware's upcoming title's DLC is set to be released in the fall this year, Christian Times has learned. It is also revealed that the developer is set to release another follow-up expansion in 2017. As per the publication, the aforementioned details are definitely viewed as good news by fans and gamers who have been looking forward for dynamic gameplay in the title.

"Dark Souls 3" is not set to be followed by "Dark Souls 4" soon, as suggested by FromSoftware chief Hidetaka Miyazaki. In his interview with GNN Gamer, as translated by NeoGAF user earvcunanan, Miyazaki said that the game title would be having more DLC's like the previous games, but he could not say for certain the possibility was zero percent.

Miyazaki mentioned as a case in point that if a FromSoftware developer came to him five years from now and beg to let him make another "Dark Souls" game, he would not rule out the probability of letting his subordinates start a new project. This suggests that "Dark Souls 4" will not happen anytime soon, but sometime in the future.

Meanwhile, characters in "Dark Souls 3" may dress up as an NPC, as VGC247 reports. The details come from YouTube channel The Zexster, which also showed how it impacts the players' characters. Based on the video, invaders ignore the character suited as NPC while dome passers-by ignore him. Even visiting players do nothing on the NPC-suited character. This means that character could be immune from attacks from other characters in the game.

The upcoming "Dark Souls 3" DLCs are rumored to arrive in the fall and in 2017. Watch the video here
