'Dark Souls 2' Bug Fix, Features News: New Update to Patch Weapon Durability Glitch

The developers at Bandai Namco plan to release a new patch for 'Dark Souls 2' that fixes a whole host of issues in the game.

The most notable one was the infamous glitch where a user's weapon durability was affected by the game's framerate, causing it to rapidly decrease when attacking.

"It had much to do with the faster frame rate, 30 fps, in the Windows PC version, which is twice as fast compared to the counterparts in consoles. This bug was also apparent in the recent release for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of Dark Souls 2," writes VC Post.

There is currently no release date on the update, so while Bandai Namco are aware of the issues, there is no guarantee as to when it will be fixed.

"Certainly, the Dark Souls 2 weapon durability bug was just one of the many fixes Bandai Namco had to do. Once the new version gets released, the gameplay experience will be smoother and more worthwhile than ever, especially since weapons will finally last longer," writes VC Post.
