Netflix has just revealed the first look of the latest and improved costume of Daredevil that Matt Murdock will be sporting in the second season of Marvel superhero series, which premieres next year.

IB Times reports that an image of the new costume of the blind, street vigilante will be sporting in the upcoming season of 'Daredevil' was shared on official Twitter account of the show.

Fans of the show saw Daredevil, Murdock (Charlie Cox) wearing his official costume by the end of Season 1 when the blind lawyer felt the need for something tougher than a simple shirt to fight villains.

In 'Daredevil' Season 2, fans are likely to see Murdock confronting Jon Bernthal, who would portray The Punisher, Elodie Yung, who will play Elektra, and maybe more members of The Hand - a ninja clan notorious for launching violent strikes. Therefore, it is quite normal that the vigilante will require a tougher suit to protect him.

Recently, Marvel chief creative officer Joe Quesada shared some details regarding introducing both The Punisher and Elektra as well as what fans can expect in 'Daredevil' Season 2.

In an interview with IGN, Quesada said, "We're so happy to have Jon Bernthal because we have such a world-class cast on Daredevil; we have a world-class actor in Charlie Cox that we want to make sure we chose and were able to attain an actor who is on that same level so I think the combination of seeing Charlie and John perform those parts on the same screen. It's going to be epic, absolutely epic."

In the television series, The Punisher is the anti-hero, while Elektra is the love interest of the superhero Daredevil. However, Elecktra's violent nature and mercenary way of life finally separates the two in the comics.

Talking about Elodie Yung as Elektra, Quesda said, "I can't say enough about Elodie Yung. Literally, we scoured the world for the right Elektra and, man, she is the character. She looks like the character, she walks like the character, and then she has the martial arts training and stunt background that she can rely on."

Marvel COO further stated, "It's going to be really, really awesome to see her take over the role and see how she embodies and how she personifies Elektra. But again, another world-class actor who I think is going to bring something really special to Daredevil. And I think we established a really good tempo with Season 1, so fans can hopefully expect much more of the same."

'Daredevil' Season 2 is set to premiere on Netflix in 2016.
