'Dancing With The Stars' Season 22 Cast, News: Nyle DiMarco Wowed Fans, Captures Judges' Attention
The two-hour premiere of "Dancing With The Stars" Season 22 on Monday night wowed the audience as Nyle DiMarco captured the attention of not just the fans, but the judges as well.
DiMarco, together with his dance partner, Peta Murgatroyd, performed an impressive cha-cha routine, writes CNN. What makes it more amazing is because DiMarco is deaf. He cannot hear any sounds or feel any vibrations.
According to him, it was Peta's eyes that made their performance seamless. "It's actually Peta," DiMarco signed, "I follow her with my eyes." Their performance got a score of 8,7 and 8 with a total of 23, notes Washington Post.
Notably, DiMarco is the sole winner of America's Next Top Model Season 22. Meanwhile, Washington Post revealed the contestant's ranking based on their scores.
While DiMarco enjoys the top spot, "Good Morning America" anchor Ginger Zee with dance partner Val Chmerkovskiy are at the second place. Meanwhile, Boyz II Men member Wanya Morris with professional dance partner Lindsay Arnold got the third place.
Following the three best performances are Antonio Brown/Sharna Burgess with the quickstep routine, Von Miller/Witney Carson with their foxtrot number and Donald Trump's ex-wife Marla Maples/Tony Dovolani with a quickstep performance as well. The three pairs ranked at 4th, 5th and 6th, respectively.
While the 6 duos are considered to be safe, half of the remaining pairs look like they are in danger for eliminations. Jodie Sweetin and Keo Motsepe received odd comments from the judges with their tango dance number.
On the other hand, VanZant and Mark Ballas, Kim Fields and Sasha Farber, Doug Flutie and Karina Smirnoff, Geraldo Rivera and Edyta Sliwinska, and Mischa Barton and Artem Chigvintsev are in critical spots.
What could happen on the next episode of "Dancing With The Stars" Season 22? Find out on Monday.
