‘Dancing with the Stars’ Season 21 Cast News, Rumors: Will Caitlyn Jenner Join the Cast?

Ever since Caitlyn Jenner unveiled her new transgender woman look on Vanity Fair, the former Olympic decathlon men's event champion, has constantly been in the news. Currently, the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star is in great demand in the entertainment industry. Therefore, it is not surprising that ABC too is reportedly trying to get her to join the cast of the upcoming 'Dancing with the Stars' Season 21.

Latin Post reports that Caitlyn, who was formerly known as Bruce Jenner on 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians,' revealed her new look on the July 2015 cover of Vanity Fair. However, Hollywood Life reports that it seems that ABC is seemingly "losing hope on getting Caitlyn for the show."

Hollywood Life claimed that a source told them, "The offer was made," adding, "But, scheduling, money, and a few other bumps in the road are making producers feel that they should give up on their case."

It seems that, for quite some time now, the network has been really trying hard to get Caitlyn for the show. Another source reportedly told Hollywood Life in April, "Their main focus is getting her on next season. That is the number one goal for the show."

Meanwhile, Caitlyn's representative has neither denied nor confirmed that the 'I am Cait' star will surely be competing in 'Dancing with the Stars' Season 21. However, a professional dancer on the reality dancing show on ABC has expressed interest in assisting her to win the next Mirror Ball trophy.

In an interview with Touch Magazine, Val Chmerkoskiy said, "I will be Cait's partner, for sure!" In fact, Chmerkovskiy has already proved that he is capable of winning the show, especially after he won the Mirror Ball trophy in the show's 20th season with Rumer Willis, daughter of actor Bruce Willis and actress Demi Moore.

Chmerkovskiy said, "I would love to have an opportunity to win it with someone that nobody else believes can do it," adding, "As long as you have the energy, I am in it to win it. She and I will not physically match, but I volunteer!"

Provided Caitlyn does accept the ABC offer, she will not be the first member of the Kardashian/ Jenner family to participate in the popular dance competition. Earlier, Kim and Rob Kardashian had tried their luck on the show.

Interestingly enough, though rumors on the Internet claim that ABC has been trying very hard to get Caitlyn for the 'Dancing with the Stars' Season 21, her representative has confirmed to Hollywood Life that actually no one has approached Cailyn about it. "Nope," said Caitlyn's rep. "Never was an option."
