'Dancing with the Stars' Era's Night Recap: Historical Dance Numbers & Styles, Willow Shields Eliminated
In the Dancing with the Stars episode that aired on Monday April 27th, the remaining pairs of dancers danced for their immunity, extra points, and viewer votes. The theme of the episode was "Era's Night."
The couples performed dances to iconic musical numbers from a different time period. The couple who attained the most points received immunity and they also competed in a dance off in order to get two extra points from the judges.
Riker Lynch and Allison Holker was the first pair to dance and they chose to perform a quickstep from the 1920s.
Len Goodman loved the performance, and Julianna Hough praised the team for their innovation, but request that they work on finding ways to make their difference in height work for them.
Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli both agreed that while the performance was a very good one, it was not as good as last weeks, and they earned 37 points total.
Chris Soules and Witney Carson did a '40s foxtrot, and the pair earned 31 points. Rumer Willis and Valentin Chmerkovsky performed a '60s jive and While Carrie thought it was too safe of a choice and Rumer's arms were criticized, she earned 35 points.
Next, Noah Galloway and Sharna Burgess performed a '70s jazz piece. All of the judges praised their performance, and they got 36 points for it.
Robert Herjavec and Kym Johnson danced a '80s Argentine tango and while the judges praised the pair's chemistry and noted improvements, they earned 31 points.
Finally, Nastia Liukin and her new partner Sasha Farber danced a modern charleston and the two earned 38 points. In the end, and unfortunately, Willow Shields was eliminated.
