‘Dancing With the Stars' 2014 Winner, Show Performance & Score Recap
'Dancing With The Stars' finalist Alfonso Ribeiro is officially hailed as the grand champion of the most recent season of the popular dancing competition.
Ribeiro paired up with Witney Carson as the couple obtained a perfect score of 120 points for their routine in the finale. The actor has been performing since he was young and he is the first male celebrity grand winner.
"I cannot believe this, I've wanted it forever!" said Alfonso while in tears.
"He deserves this so much," added Carson, TVLine reported, "he's one of the most hardworking people I've ever met."
Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas came in second with a total score of 118 points and Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy came in third with 117 points.
Ribeiro and Carson performed Cha Cha and Argentine Tango that earned praises from the judges without a hint of criticism, according to TVLine.
"You're a legend, man," commented Italian choreographer Bruno Tonioli, according to Wet Paint.
Meanwhile, Robertson and Ballas presented a Samba and Quickstep blend. Professional Ballroom dancer Len Goodman compared Robertson to a princess in a dance. American choreographer Carrie Inaba praised her as a good role model.
Finally, Parrish and her partner danced Foxtrot and Paso combination through Kiesza's "Hideaway" song. The number highlighted the couple's chemistry. Tonioli said that the dance was elegant and classy.
In addition, the show also featured behind the scenes clip of the contestants throughout the season. The previous competitors of the show also performed in their respective numbers.
A couple of celebrities were guests in the finale such as Jennifer Hudson who performed "Go All Night", Meghan Trainor who sung a medley of "All About That Bass" and "Lips Are Moving' and Nick Jonas who presented his new hit "Jealous."
On that note, 'Dancing with the Stars' Season 20 will return in Spring 2015.
