Dakota Johnson, known for her role as Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades of Grey, reportedly ended her relationship with Welsh model and rocker Matthew Hitt.

Sources told US Weekly that the 25-year-old actress' hectic schedule was interrupting the couple's relationship, "Her life was getting too crazy and it wasn't something that he wanted to be a part of."

 Johnson has had numerous interviews with the press, television and other media sources since her announcement of starring in the film adaptation of E.L. James' New York Bestseller. 50 Shades of Grey opened Valentine's Day weekend and has since made a domestic total of $106 million in the United States alone, according to Box Office Mojo. Before her role in 50 Shades of Grey, Johnson had a few smaller roles as Anita in 2014's Need for Speed and Fugazy in 2012's 21 Jump Street.

In an interview with Vogue Johnson said of her new fame and popularity, "It's just the most insane thing to be a part of. I've never experienced anything like this; I don't think anyone has. It's terrifying-and it's exciting."

Hitt and Johnson were last seen together in December as the couple looked very happy roaming the streets of New York. The couple had been dating for roughly six months. Sources also told US Weekly that the breakup had happened around the holidays. The split had been a clean one and no hard feelings were felt between the two.

Since the breakup Johnson has been seen with a few people, but nothing is very serious, according sources from US Weekly.
