Dakota Fanning News: Father Steals Actress' Spotlight at NY Knicks Game?
Dakota Fanning went to a New York Knicks game over the weekend, but instead of being the center of attention, her father, Stephen Fanning, seemed to be stealing most of the actress' spotlight.
The father and daughter duo was spotted at Madison Square Garden on Sunday and were all smiles while watching the basketball game between the New York Knicks and the Miami Heat.
The 20-year-old actress, who began showing off her acting skills when she was only six years old, was wearing a black and white shirt paired by ripped jeans, but was allegedly upstaged by her dad who wore a navy sweater, jeans and a NY Knicks hat.
The duo seemed to be having a good time watching the match from their seats, as they were seen laughing and clapping throughout the game.
Sitting next to them was actor Michael B. Jordan who at one point looked as though he was introduced by Dakota to her father.
The 47-year-old dad of Dakota and Elle Fanning is no stranger to the world of sports. He played in the minor league baseball from the late 1980s into the early 1990s.
In college, he also reportedly played infield positions for several AAA, AA and A teams across the United States.
Steve now works as an electronics salesman, and despite the fame of his daughters, they still remain close to each other.
Dakota revealed to The Telegraph in 2012, that she is very close with her mom, and even as she lives on her own, she always misses her and her family a lot.
Meanwhile, in an interview with E! News, about her highly publicized relationship with 33-year-old boyfriend Jamie Strachan, Dakota said she is only trying to live the only way she knows.
"I just do my thing. My job is to be in films and then I have a really wonderful, full, personal life and it's personal to me...I'm just so weirded out that anybody would want to know about me. I don't want to know about anybody else's life. I don't know what anybody want to know about mine. You don't know me or anybody who's really in my life so I don't know why it's that interesting."
