'Criminal Minds' Season 11 Spoilers, News: Premiere Plot Revealed, Dr. Spencer Reed Will Have a Disturbing Start
Fans of 'Criminal Minds' are eager to know the fate of their favorite characters when the long-running police procedural television drama on CBS returns for Season 11 next month. On the other hand, the cast and crew of the show are very cautious not to reveal too many details regarding the upcoming season. However, some photographs and interviews offer a glimpse of what is in store for the BAU team in the next season of the show.
According to IB Times, the most recent 'Criminal Minds' Season 11 spoiler is cleverly concealed in the synopsis of the premiere episode wherein the BAU team is said to be looking for a serial killer, who has left behind some proof showing someone is out for revenge.
Several reports have suggested that 'Criminal Minds' Season 11 will start off with Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson), interviewing various candidates to replace Kate Callahan (Jennifer Love Hewitt). According to the latest buzz, in the upcoming season, the BAU team will also deal with Silk Road, the darknet black market.
In a recent interview, show runner Erica Messer said, "It's about a sort of Silk Road/ hitman-for-hire storyline. We're picking up those pieces of what happens when you kill the head of a monster? Another one grows."
Meanwhile the show runner has already confirmed that 'Criminal Minds' Season 11 will explore deep into each character's personal life, particularly Dr Reid and his love life. She also confirmed recently that fans will see Dr Spencer Reid having a very dramatic and troubling start in the Season 11 premiere.
Therefore, it appears that Reid will be responsible for a crucial takedown in the premiere episode and speculations are rife that it will be a disturbing scene. Talking to Entertainment Weekly, Erica said, "He gets to do a takedown Reid style, which is just using his brain with a physical thing that's really disturbing - you have to turn away. It's not a standoff with a gun; it's a Reid version of a takedown."
However, it does not come as a surprise that that the show will open with a major moment for Dr Reid, as it has been confirmed earlier that his character will be in the spotlight all through the season. Rumors are already doing the rounds that his new forensic team partner, Dr Tara Lewis (Aisha Tyler), will play his love interest in 'Criminal Minds' season 11.
'Criminal Minds' Season 11 will premiere on CBS on Sept. 30, 2015.
