'Criminal Minds' Season 11 Spoilers: BAU Deals With New Crime; Emily Prentiss Returns In The Series?
The Behavioral Analysis Unit is set to investigate a crime set in the victims' homes while Emily Prentiss returns in "Criminal Minds" season 11, as per recent spoilers.
According to TV Line, Paget Brewster, who is playing Prentiss in "Criminal Minds" season 11, is set to return to the show this spring.
Prentiss departure from the Behavioral Analysis Unit was seen in "Criminal Minds" season 7, a point in time when she worked hand in hand with the Interpol. She engaged the help of her friends in the Unit to hunt down an international serial killer. According to reports, the character is now convinced that the killer is aiming at the United States, which motivates her to catch the latter before another he gets another life.
In her interview with the publication, Brewster said that it had just not worked out, adding that it had been a shame.
Brewster also played Pretiss in the middle of "Criminal Minds" season 9 for the series' 200th episode, as per the publication. The actress was also tapped last summer to return and help fill-in the vacancy for A.J. Cook; however, she had some schedule issues with the series "Grandfathered."
According to a synopsis in Enstarz, the Behavioral Analysis Unit is set to deal with a suspect who was invited into the victims' house. A promo clip features Cook suggesting that the perpetrator needed his victims to allow him into their homes. Another sequence showed the UnSub masquerades as the FBI, showing a badge into the victim's house.
With this detail, it is assumed that the UnSub could be the criminal or an apprentice of the criminal.
"Criminal Minds" airs every Wednesday ay 9 p.m. on CBS.
