'Criminal Minds' Season 11 Finale Episode 22 Spoilers: Hotch Linked With Conspiracy; Showrunner Leaks Finale Is Team-Central?
Hotch is set to be apprehended for conspiracy suspicion, along with the BAU suspecting that they may be facing a much bigger conflict in "Criminal Minds" season 11 episode 22, the season finale. Also, showrunner Erica Messer reveals that the finale is team-centric.
"Criminal Minds" season 11 episode 22 is entitled "The Storm." According to Spoilers Guide, the BAU is going to be stunned after a SWAT team apprehends Hotch and suspects of conspiracy. As per the publication, the team is set to make an effort to prove that Hotch is innocent; however, the even may give rise to a much larger problem involving them.
"Criminal Minds" showrunner Messer also shared her ideas on what fans can expect from the forthcoming season finale. In a statement (via Enstarz), Messer said that it was very team-centric, as "stuff" was hitting the fan and we were at the center of it. She also said that they were doing a finale cliffhanger of sorts, which they had not done in forever.
Messer added that it was not a "bomb goes off/who survives?" cliffhanger. For the showrunner, it was a really fun and fresh way to begin season 12.
"The Storm" follows the events in "Criminal Minds" season 11 episode 21, entitled "Devil's Backbone." According to Spoilers Guide, the episode saw some guards at a Virginia prison obstruct a parcel with proof pertinent to the abduction of two boys several years prior to present. In line with this, the BAU interrogated a scandalous serial killer who may hold details on what happened to the boys.
"Criminal Minds" season 11 episode 22, "The Storm," is set to air on May 4.
