'Criminal Minds' Season 10 Spoilers: ‘CSI’ Star Marc Vann to Return as Guest Star Following Spin-off Series
When the American police procedural television drama 'Criminal Minds' returns to CBS next month with Episode 15 titled 'Lockdown', fans can anticipate plenty of action. In addition, they will also see the return of the 'CSI' actor Marc Vann in one upcoming episode of the season.
'Lockdown' will air on Wednesday, March 4 at 9:00 pm EST via CBS.
According to Latin Post, in the upcoming episode, fans will see the BAU hunting down a killer at a maximum security prison following the murder of two prison guards. Carter Matt says that the episode will allow the viewers to know how the prison system actually looks inside.
The official synopsis for 'Lockdown' released by CBS and posted by Carter Matt reads, "When two guards at a privatized maximum security prison in Texas are murdered, the BAU suspects that more than one UnSub within the prison could be at work, on 'Criminal Minds,' Wednesday, March 4 (9-10 p.m., ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Series star Thomas Gibson directed the episode. William Ragsdale ('Justified,' 'Herman's Head') guest stars as prison captain Dale Shavers."
Meanwhile, TVLine reports that Vann, who portrayed Sheriff Conrad Ecklie on the forensic investigation television drama series 'CSI' will appear as a guest star on Season 10 episode 18 titled 'Rock Creek Park.' Vann will be portraying the character of an FBI agent in the Organized Crime Division and be assisting a special investigation.
In fact, Vann appeared in an earlier episode of Season 3 titled 'Penelope' of the long-running series 'Criminal Minds.'
According to TVLine, 'Rock Creek Park' will be preceded by the planned spin-off series of 'Criminal Minds,' whose story will focus on a "globetrotting BAU team that tends to Americans in crisis abroad."
Gary Sinise, who features in 'CSI: NY,' will also star in the spin-off. He will be portraying the character of Jack Garrett, a 20-year veteran of the FBI as well as leader of an elite BAU team that probes cases concerning American citizens abroad.
On that note, the purported spin-off has been developed by 'Criminal Minds' showrunner Erica Messer.
