'Counter-Strike: Global Offensive' Griefers Ban News & Update: Here Are The Details

Valve's "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive" has become stricter to repeat griefers, as per reports.

According to Valve's patch notes, as cited by PC Gamer, a temporary griefing conviction assigned by "Overwatch" would now be elevated to a permanent conviction if the suspect had had a previous temporary griefing conviction.

"Counter Strike" player Voliano expressed his thoughts about the permanent ban on Steam Community. On Oct. 26, he wrote "My griefin cooldown as turned into a perm ban. Other players commented, such as Focus, who wrote "I'm happy to see that," along with ShouTz'en, who wrote "GG."

Meanwhile, Steam forum member finesse expressed her thoughts, which support the new system. In a statement, as cited by Steam, the forum member wrote that she loved the system and it was about time, adding that she was sick of people who have nothing from his wrist for Throwing and Toxic.

Valve also emphasized some pointers on cooldowns and bans. In a statement, as per Steam's website, the studio said that "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive" cooldowns and bans were non-negotiable and could not be removed or reduced by Steam Support. Also, an automated cooldown or ban that have been incorrectly issued would be rolled back to the servers.

Valve's policy is not the first time the studio unveiled it, as per Kotaku. Previously, players well allowed to have a cool down period that served as a digital timeout. As per the publication, the cases were handled by "Overwatch" program player investigators, which ascertains that the "Global Offensive" community is a "self-regulatory" body which handles cheaters and griefers.

Developed by Valve, "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive" was initially released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, Macintosh, and Linux in 2012.
