Following the explosive pilot of "Containment," fans have been anticipating what episode 2 would be in store for the characters. Spoilers, however, reveal that the hostility between Jake and Lex have no chance of being resolved soon.

Showrunner Julie Plec also teased more spoilers for "Containment" as she said that nobody is safe in the show.

"We probably have upwards of 25 to 30 characters that we get to know fairly well over the course of the season that I can probably, off the top of my head, guess that less than half of them will survive to see Season 2," she said.

The synopsis of "Containment" episode 2 reads:

"While Lex attempts to maintain control outside the cordon, he learns that a young woman, who had close contact with an infected patient, is unaccounted for. With limited resources available, Lex is forced to enlist help from Jake, whose growing resentment towards Lex for getting him trapped inside is causing him to spiral."

Meanwhile, Katie is at her wit's end trying to watch over her students while also dealing with her own personal issues. For her part, Teresa learns that her friends may have been contaminated.

"Finally, Jana, who has learned that her best friend Suzy is also trapped inside the cordon, rations out their limited food as they wait out the 48-hour quarantine," the spoilers for "Containment" episode 2 added.
