Based on the characters from DC Comics 'Hellblazer', John Constantine, played by Matt Ryan in the TV series 'Constantine' is a demon hunter who battles demons and other practitioners of the dark arts to protect the innocents from the supernatural threats. Beyond being a vicious protector of mankind, Constantine is an occult detective and con artist, making the perfect anti-hero.

'Constantine' has proven to be immensely popular, and fans are impatient for Episode 9 of Season 1. Recently, NBC released the official synopsis for the episode, entitled "The Saint of Last Resorts: Part 2."

Stepping back, in Part 1, the show's ratings had a 25% increase. Now, NBC wants to build upon the momentum, and will move the show to 8/7 central after the show's current hiatus.

The first part of "The Saint of Last Resorts," John was shot by his ex-lover and the episode ends with him bleeding in the sewers, hiding from the flesh-eating demon.

The second half of the season finale will find John in a desperate situation, once again. John will need to put his life in the way of eminent danger as he slowly comes closer to finding the rising darkness. When the demon hunter has to summon a demon into himself in order to fend off a vicious attack, his loyal companions, Zed and Anne Marie, have to rush against the evil to save John.

Unfortunately, after this 13-episode season is over, 'Constantine' may be gone for good. However, fans may still have a chance to save the show. NBC will allow the production of a second season depending on how popular the series is when the show retuns.
