Cody Simpson News: The Big Talk About the Gigi Hadid Break Up
The recently reported new budding romance between model Gigi Hadid and Jonas Brothers singer Joe Jonas had many wondering whatever happened to Hadid's former long-time boyfriend Cody Simpson. Simpson just recently got interviewed on a one on one sit down talk with E! News and he is revealing that he is happy to be single.
A single 18-year-old Simpson had a recent sit down interview with E! News and he shares how much being single made him enjoy being by himself and discovering new things about himself and being more creative with the things he is just finding out that he can do.
Indeed Simpson is young and can do whatever he wants including enjoy being single. "I'm 18 years old, and I'm sort of going through that time in my life where I'm like a different person every week," said the Australian singer sharing how it is like being 18 and single. "You know, when you're going through the phases of being young and discovering yourself and uncovering all the layers, basically."
Apparently, there is something positive that came out from splitting up with Hadid. "Being by myself has just freed up space for me to actually be myself as opposite to half of somebody else," he shared.
Apparently being in a highly publicized relationship can stress him a little and conscious of how he is supposed to be seen by the public instead of him freely discovering who he's supposed to be. His past relationship he said "had been so publicized," and that "Being by myself is great because I can be low-key...[I can] focus on my music, I'm taking up film and photography, skateboarding..."
The break up was a clean break up according to several sources. Simpson's sister, Alli Simpson even shared to E! News that the two still "care about each other immensely."
Hadid's representative also confirmed that they have remained friends. They "remain friends with no hard feelings and each others' biggest supporters," the rep said in a statement to E! News.
