Climate Change News 2015: Sir David Attenborough Calls for Action

Sir David Attenborough, the broadcaster and naturalist, feels that governments all over the world are taking climate change lightly and are not doing enough to tackle the dangers that accompany it.

He has said that those who wield power and authority are in denial about issues like climate change, in spite of there being enough evidence about the magnitude of the problem. The reason, as he sees it, is that it is easier to deny that there is a problem in the first place.

He has made a strong statement that where climate change is concerned, no one is doing enough for the simple reason, despite the idea that it's very major, as well as serious, problem facing humanity.

Simultaneously, it would be wrong and silly to minimize the magnitude of the problem. He has minced no words when he said, "never in the history of humanity in the last 10 million years have all human beings got together to face one danger that threatens us - never. .. It's a big ask but the penalty of not taking notice is huge."

According to The Hill, the Pentagon is well aware of the problems associated with climate change and have plans to implement defensive measures in their future actions. Evidently, the Defense Department is preemptively trying to tackle the impacts of global warming before it's too late.
