Cleveland Cavaliers vs Chicago Bulls Game 3 Preview, News: NBA 2015 Playoffs

The Chicago Bulls followed up their impressive Game 1 win with a horrible first quarter in Game 2 that ultimately decided the game. Of course, LeBron James had a lot to do with that.

After saying he had to be more aggressive, and putting his headband back on for the first time since March, James came out ultra aggressive, calling his own number multiple times, and forcing the Bulls to either defend him one on one or send the double team for James to dissect.

The Cavs won that quarter by 20 points, and while the Bulls would outscore the Cavs the rest of the way, and in every other quarter, they could never make up that margin.

One key is Derrick Rose. After scoring 25 points in the opener, Rose was limited to just 14 points on 6-20 shooting in Game 2. Throughout these playoffs, Rose has struggled shooting after just one day of rest. He will only have a day in between before Game 3, so it will be interesting to see how well he plays.

J.R. Smith will also be back from suspension, and it will also be curious to see if he is inserted right back into the starting lineup. Iman Shumpert filled in nicely in his absence, following up a solid 22-point effort in Game 1 with 15 points in Game 2, including 4-7 from three.

The Bulls relied heavily on making tough contested jump shots in Game 1, along with a steady diet of open Pau Gasol jumpers. Neither of those were present in Game 2, so it will be key to see where the Bulls offense comes from.

James has shown no one on the Bulls roster can defend him if he takes it right at the rim, and he would be wise to force them to prove him wrong.

Game 3's tips-off is Friday, May 8 at 8:00 pm ET.
