Cleveland Cavaliers NBA News, Rumors 2015: Indiana Pacers Halt Potential 13-Game Win Streak
In recent sports news in the NBA, the Cleveland Cavaliers failed to claim their "lucky" number of a 13 game consecutive winning record.
Unfortunately the heartbreak of the Cavs and Cavs fans was due to a very close score of 103-99 to the Indiana Pacers on February 6. Had they have won this game, they would have matched the longest winning streak record in team history.
The game was held at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis which was packed full of roaring fans who anxiously waited to see if the Pacers could pull off a win over Cleveland with home team advantage.
The final four minutes in this game were crucial and nail biting. With the lead having changed hands a total of seven times during this short amount of time, it was anybody's game.
As fans gripped their seats tightly both at the venue and at home, it was down to the last minute (or even seconds) that the Indiana Pacers canned the last buckets to shut down the Cavaliers' streak.
Even though Cavaliers' fans left disappointed hanging their heads in shame, the game was an exciting one regardless.
Pacer player and shooting guard, C.J. Miles led the way in scoring for Indiana posting a team high of 26 points along with four rebounds and three assists.
David West also showed off his skill as he pulled his weight by putting up 20 points and 12 boards for the home club.
Though they were not the victors this time around, the Cleveland Cavaliers still put up a great effort with Kyle Irving finishing up with 29 points with four rebounds and five assists and famed LeBron James ended up with 25 points, six rebounds and five assists.
Though this was a heartbreaking loss to cut the streak short for Cav fans, there is still time left in the season to start another winning streak.
