‘Clash Of Clans’ Update, Latest News: Game Maker Supercell Improves Matchmaking In the Works?

The new updates for "Clash of Clans" are set to be released this month or at the latest in April, according to the latest news and rumors regarding the popular game.

Among the updates will be improved matchmaking, said Neurogadget.

"Supercell has updated matchmaking in order to create a balance in the game, focusing more on the defensive progress of the player's village, rather than the offensive progress," it said.

"The overall win/loss record will continue to be an important factor, but the developer wanted to improve the way the gamers are playing Clash of Clans as a whole," it added.

The "Clash of Clans" update will reportedly include three new troops that can be unlocked in Town Hall 10.

"These include a skull-like fighter called a Rocketeer, as well as a wizard that's codenamed Chain Lightning. Those that follow Supercell's other projects might also recognize the Mini P.E.K.K.A. from 'Clash Royale,'" the report said.

In other news, revenues for "Clash of Clans" declined a bit as Supercell Oy reportedly faced difficulties of converting the fan base of the "free to play" game into paying customers, said Wall Street Journal.

But it doesn't mean that the Finnish developer didn't turn in a profit. In fact, it earned $2.32 billion in 2015 from the $1.72 billion in 2014. However, the figures still pale in comparison to the triple earnings it registered in Calendar year 2014 against the 2013 data.
