'Civilization 6' Release Date News: Strategy Game Going To Be Launched Oct. 21?
It has been a long time since we last had a new "Civilization" video game. The last game was released in 2010. After six years, we now have news about a latest installation on the franchise.
According to Ecumenical News, the developers of the game, Firaxis, along side with 2K Games, its publisher, has recently announced that "Civilization VI" will be released on October 21st. It will be the 25th anniversary of the franchise and that new installment may be part of their year-long celebration. The "Civilization" franchise is actually 2k game's oldest franchise according to the site.
Also, according to The Bit Bag, the game will also have a couple of adjustment. According to the site, "Civilization 6" will take off the "happiness meter" and now chances of achieving a "Golden Age" may be tougher compare to how it was before. Wonder Stacking may also be a key strategy in the next "Civilization" game. Wonders now should be built within territory to get bonuses.
In other news, according to Vine Report, the game will be featuring an improved AI, bigger maps, bigger cities and many more other features.
"When you place that first city, after you've played a few times, your mind really starts going and the gears start turning, when you're looking at the area around your city and deciding what kind of city it's going to be. You don't have room for everything, so you're going to have decisions to make," lead producer Dennis Shirk said according to The Verge.
"Civilization 6" is set to release October 21, 2016.
