'Civilization 6' News & Updates: Phillip II Leads Spain Civ To Spread Religion [WATCH]
Firaxis Games has released its "Civilization 6" Spain Civ and it is concentrated on religion and trades. Also, the civ leaders have been prematurely unveiled, as per reports.
Philip II is Spain's leader in "Civilization 6." He spearheaded the country at the peak of its Golden Age and he was regarded as a champion of the Catholic faith and a patron of the arts and culture. In line with this, Spain's aim is to spread religion while expanding its territories.
Spain's special ability is called Treasure Fleet, which allows trade routes between territories to have added yield and combine ships into fleets, as compared to the other civs. Hence, this ascertains that the water-bound trade ships are safeguarded, as per Game Spot.
As a defender of faith, Spain gains a combat bonus when it meets units of other religion. It also features El Escorial, which allows Spanish Inquisitors to eradicate heresy one more time than the other civs. With religion as one of its primary strengths, Spain is able to control other territories and spread religion.
In other news, the "Civilization 6" leaders have been prematurely opened. According to Game Revolution, the leaders include Catherine de Medici, Celopatra, Frederick Barbarossa, Ghandi, Gilgamesh, Gorgo, Harald Hardrada, Hojo Tokimune, Montezuma, Mvemba a Nzinga, Pedro II, Preciles, Peter, Phillip II, Quin Shi Huang, Saladin, Teddy Roosevelt, Tomyris, and Trajan.
"Civilization 6" is Firaxis Games' forthcoming 4X video game in the "Civilization" series. It is a turn-based strategy game, in which one or more players compete against computer-controlled AI opponents to build and expand their individual civilization. This means, growing a small tribe to a domineering empire that controls the planet across multiple periods of progress.
Firaxis Games' "Civilization 6" is set to be released for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, and Linux on Oct. 21.
