Citizen Way’s Follow-up Album Launched; Rock Worship Band Gears Up For Spring Tour
The follow-up album by Citizen Way, titled "2.0," has impressed critics and fellow music artists alike, as the band is gearing up for their spring tour across the US with MercyMe and Zealand.
Chris Major of the Christian Beat noted that the sophomore album of Citizen Way only raises the bar for the band, while still staying true to their signature style that fans have come to love.
"The album's ambitious experimentation pays off in many ways, maintaining Citizen Way's DNA while developing the band's music even further," he wrote. "On top of it all, every word and note is saturated with a clear, honest, undeniable love for Jesus Christ."
The band, composed of David Blascoe, Ben Blascoe Ben Calhoun and Josh Calhoun, released their debut album, "Love is the Evidence," and three of the singles contained there landed at the Top 20 Christian Singles chart.
Timothy Yap of Hallels added that the catchy songs in Citizen Way's "2.0" album are highly addictive.
"If you ever feel like contemporary Christian music is relatively dull and cliché relative to its secular pop counterpart, 2.0 will prove you wrong," he said.
"It is tunes like these that will give Citizen Way longevity and credibility in the contemporary Christian music industry over the long haul," he added.
