Christmas 2014 TV Schedule Update: List of Holiday Movies To Watch Out For

In the final days before Christmas, the only movies or shows to be found on TV nowadays are Christmas specials and Christmas favorites. This is perfect after all the stress of last-minute shopping and gift-buying. All you need is your best friends and family around you to take you completely into the generous, warm spirit of the holidays.

Several sites have begun compiling a list of the best, most traditional Christmas movies and their timelines. Starting Christmas Eve, ABC, TBS and TCM plays movies of holiday cheer almost back-to-back from 6:00 am through 4:00 am the next day. Some of the key highlights include 'The Polar Express', a 2004 film about a doubting boy who boards a magical train that is headed towards the North Pole and Santa Claus' home. This movie will air on ABC at 3:00 pm.

One of the arguably most notable Christmas movies of all time, 'Home Alone' is a 1990 Christmas comedy which features Macaulay Culkin as Kevin, a boy who is accidentally left behind when his massive family flies to Paris for vacation. It will be showing at 5:00 pm on Christmas Eve.

On Christmas day, the number of Christmas stories (including 'A Christmas Story', 1983) covets the channels. Once again, 'Home Alone' will air at 11:00 am, but after that there is 'Elf', a story about one of Santa's elves wandering around modern-day New York.
