Christian Singer Plumb Announces Release Date of New Album 'Exhale'; Says Theme Follows Up on 'Need You Now'
Christian singer/songwriter Plumb is set to release her new album Exhale on March 31, and topically it will build on her renewed marriage.
She also just posted a picture of an engineer mixing her record with the caption, "#newrecord #exhale I CANNOT wait to share the first real fruits of my reconciled marriage and life through song...due out end of March...my cup overflows...#thereisalwayshope"
Although she did not make an official announcement regarding the actual day or release aside from March, NewReleaseTuesday has reported the day is tentatively the 31st.
"Every record I've made, I've tried very hard for them to be a reflection of where I was at the time, sort of like a journal brought to life," Plumb explained in an interview with NRT at the KLOVE Fan Awards Press conference last night. "I'm just in an extremely thankful place because God completely redeemed and reconciled my marriage and changed my life, changed my heart. I'm a very new, different person. So I'm in a just, in a place spiritually and emotionally of just being thankful... I wouldn't put it in the category of worship records, because that's kind of a category in its own right and there's an expectation when you think or hear 'worship record.' But this is Plumb, in a very worshipful place."
This will be Plumb's seventh album, and her follow up to the wildly successful Need You Now.
"I have never been more excited in my life about a record, and it's solely because it's like a thank you note to Jesus Christ," said Plumb to NRT.
Recently, Plumb sat down with BREATHEcast for an intimate chat about her book and music. The singer opened up about feeling hopeless after broken marriage, her struggle with panic attacks, and finding a new found romance with God.
Plumb candidly talked about coming to a breaking a point in her life where her past successes did not matter or her career because she truly felt "hopeless for the first time" in her life. The singer's song "Need You Know" has sold over a quarter of a million downloads on iTunes and her album debuted in the Billboard 200 but this all came on the brink of a tragic time in her life.
