Christian EDM Group Capital Kings Announces They Will Disband
Christian EDM (electronic dance music) group Capital Kings on Wednesday announced that the group will disband and focus on other ventures dear to their hearts. The group consisted of Capital Kings' founder Cole Walowac and Dylan Housewright, who replaced cofounder Jon White upon his departure in 2016.
Addressing their fans, the group writes on their Facebook page, "CK fam, thanks for all the love this past year on all the new music and every one of you that came out to a show. 2017 has been one of the best years for us and we couldn't feel more blessed."
"With that being said, we have decided that we are going to be stepping away from Capital Kings for the time being," the group writes. "As some of you may know, Dylan and his wife are expecting their first child and recently moved back to California. I have decided to focus on other opportunities but Capital Kings will always have a very special place in our heart. Thank you for being part of this journey and for all the memories the past 5 years, you guys mean the world to us!"
As expected, fans reacted to the news with sadness, but many also thanked the group for the music and performances, offering well-wishes for their future endeavors, some even expressing hopes for a future reunion.
One of the top commenters on the group's Facebook announcement, John A TenPas, writes, "You guys were one of the best! Your music inspired me to dig deeper into the world of Christian EDM, but I never found anything that came close to your music. The show you did at Lifest 2017 was one the highlights of my entire year. Hope you don't hang it up permanently, you will be missed!"
Another fan, Mercedes Valentino, writes, "I pray you'll get back together to do more
