Chrissy Teigen's Golden Globes 'Cry Face' Goes Viral, Plays Along on Twitter
Model Chrissy Teigen found herself making the news after the Golden Globes Awards, but not for an award of any sort, but rather for her crying face which was caught by cameras during her husband John Legend's acceptance speech.
Teigen was undoubtedly happy to see her husband accept the award for Best Original Song for "Glory," a song off of the film 'Selma'. However, she found herself the subject of social media commentators after the camera tried to catch her crying face.
Jokes started rolling in afterwards with users adding funny captions to her face and posting them online, such as "so many feels," "When you found out Luke and Leia were brother and sister after they kissed," "When you tell your stylist to cut half an inch and they take off 3 inches" and more.
The Sports Illustrated star sent out a tweet on Monday to address the news, writing, "Sorry I don't practice my cry face okay."
She also laughed it off, showing her good humor and tweeted, "It's been 5 minutes and I'm a meme." Later on, she even added, "for the record, when he says 'call me so I have your number'" is my favorite meme."
She and Legend also laughed it off by making crying faces of their own which Teigen posted on her Instagram.
Memes aside, Teigen seemed to enjoy not just with Legend's win. Decked out in a white Versace gown, the supermodel also enjoyed her night with other A-list celebrities and the performance of Golden Globes host Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
On a side note, via Twitter, she wrote about Fey and Poehler, complimenting them for their "so so great" hosting.
