Chris Pratt News: 'Guardians of The Galaxy' Actor Volunteers at Children's Hospital
What does Chris Pratt, the 35-year-old Star-Lord from 'Guardians of the Galaxy' spend his spare time doing? It isn't riding space ships or defeating bad guys, but it is just as good.
Between blockbuster films and his hit TV series, 'Parks and Recreation', Chris can rarely catch a break. But on Wednesday, January 14th, the actor used his day off to visit the Children's Hospital of Orange County and spent all day caring for the kids.
On behalf of the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, Chris Pratt brought toys and gifts for the patients at the Children's Hospital, and then spent a little time bonding with the eager Pratt fans. In one picture, he is shown grinning at the camera with a young girl's masterpiece. The girl sits beside him on the bed with a teddy bear under her arm and an irreplaceable smile on her face.
Her name is Emma, and for a long time, she had leukemia. But Emma had some good news for Chris when he arrived at the hospital: "After a long battle with childhood leukemia, Emma is going home cancer free!!! Atta girl! You kicked cancer's butt!!! Thank you to Children's Hospital Orange County for setting up an amazing visit and to Emma for my wonderful painting," Chris said on his official Facebook page.
Emma wasn't the only lucky one. Chris Pratt also handed out 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and Lego toys to the little boys and girls. Chris may not be conquering alien supervillains, but he is definitely a superhero in real life!
