As the upcoming 'Wonder Woman' film is now being worked on for its 2017 scheduled premiere date, so many rumors have been going around claiming different Hollywood actors for the cast of the film. The latest one reported to be part of the flick is Chris Pine, who is famous for a role in 'Star Trek'.

Who knew, Captain James T. Kirk, who Pine played for 'Star Trek' can fit in a superhero movie starring 'Fast & Furious' actress Gal Gadot. Well, despite the lack of confirmation from both Pine and the film's executives, reports are however claiming that Pine will be playing a major role.

In the first motion picture of 'Wonder Woman', Pine was reportedly set to play Steve Trevor, the love interest of Wonder Woman or Amazon Princess and warrior Diana Prince. Well, Pine seems like a good candidate since he did a pretty phenomenal job in his role as Princess Mia's love interest in 'Princess Diaries: The Royal Engagement'.

Not only that, Pine is surely experienced in that area of filmmaking combining both reality and comic as he played Captain Kirk in the said 'Star Trek' film series. Pine is also famous for his roles in 'Into The Woods', 'Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit' as well as the flick 'Rise of the Guardians'.

The film, 'Wonder Woman' which Pine is rumored to be cast however will be premiered on 2017 which is a couple of years to go, so fans will definitely have to wait longer in getting some confirmations at this time. The film will be directed by Patty Jenkins, famous for 'Monster'.

Reportedly, as 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' is first to premiere in the DC Comics franchise, Wonder Woman's character will be introduced there and finally star in her own film in 2017. So fans can definitely be assured that Gadot will be in the first DC Comics film.
