Chris Brown News: Singer Gets Charges Dropped in Las Vegas Battery Case
Entertainer Chris Brown finds himself in yet another spot of trouble with him being a suspect of a battery charge following a pick-up basketball game in Las Vegas on Monday.
The report was filed at 3:42 am, and states that Brown allegedly beat said victim after a verbal altercation, and was aided by another participant.
The LVMPD report follows:
"The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Violent Crimes Section indicated the victim had been playing a game of basketball at the Palms Casino Resort located at 4321 West Flamingo Road. A verbal altercation on the court led to a physical fight and the victim was punched by another male subject who was later identified as 25-year old recording artist Chris Brown. The victim prepared to defend himself and was then hit by another male reportedly with Brown.
The victim self-transported to the hospital where he was treated and released. Detectives responded to the scene at the hotel but Brown was not available to speak with them. Mr. Brown has been given the option of signing a citation for misdemeanor battery, or having the case submitted to the Clark County District Attorney's Office for prosecution. At that time, Mr. Brown would receive a summons to appear in Clark County Justice Court."
It has since been confirmed that the battery victim has decided to drop criminal charges on the singer, and that the case will no longer continue.
What really surprises the public is Brown's trademark reckless behavior after just being a month from him being released of his probation following his 2009 assault of his then-girlfriend Rihanna.
Brown nor his reps have been available for comment.
