Chris Brown News: Rapper Aims for Legendary Status Like Michael Jackson, James Brown, and Prince
R&B singer and rapper Chris Brown looks better than ever as he attended last night's Grammy Awards. The singer and famous celebrity is nominated once again for two Grammys for his sixth studio album called 'X'.
Brown is nominated Best R&B Performance and Best R&B song for his song 'New Flame' which he collaborated with Usher and Rick Ross. Brown, who seemed to be getting serious in his music career, is also nominated for Best Urban Contemporary Album for his latest released album.
The 25-year-old R&B singer revealed in his interview with E! News Ryan Seacrest his musical inspirations and his goals in achieving what his inspirations achieved in their own musical careers. "Those guys are the people who paved the way for me to really be able to do my music and push the envelope, be creative," Brown shared his mural that he painted which was posted on the wall of the Awards show showing the faces of Michael Jackson, James Brown, Prince and others.
"I wanted to put a wall of greatness up there, and I put myself on the wall, just because I want to achieve that. That's the goal." The singer also shared his views on how he makes his records, considering his audiences.
"Any time I do music or any time I do different songs I always want reach different audiences, different cultures, different facets of life, you know what I'm saying? So me being kind of 25 now and coming of age now I wanted people to just identify with who I was as an artist, as an entertainer and make songs that people can relate to," Brown shared.
The singer added saying how he puts on emotion from the people towards his songs. "So whether it's the slow songs about love or about regret, sorrow, pain, whatever it is, I just try and bring and evoke the emotion out of people all the time with my music."
Brown also reportedly finally finished and completed his community service for breaking his probation for the assault of ex-girlfriend Rihanna. The musician, who finished 1,000 hours shared on Twitter, "Finished all my community service... BTS TOUR..... Here we come," Brown wrote.
His 'Behind The Sheets' tour was said to be scheduled on January 27 but had to be postponed since he had to finish the remaining 100 hours from the 1,000 hours he re-did upon being caught lying about it. The angry judge handling his case asked him to re-do his community service.
"The judge would not sign off on my travel to do the tour until I finish these last 100 hours of community service. I will work my a** off to complete it and I will be on that stage," Brown wrote in his Instagram previously.
