Chris Brown News: R&B Hip-Hop Star Denied Entry into Canada - Cancels Concerts

Chris Brown was forced to cancel his Montreal and Toronto concerts after the singer told fans over Twitter that he was not allowed into Canada.

The tweet read, "Unfortunately I will not be able to perform in front of sold out crowds in Montreal & Toronto. The good people of the Canadian government wouldn't allow me entry. I'll be back this summer and will hopefully see all my Canadian fans!"

Spokeswoman for Brown Nicole Perna told USA Today that he plans on applying for admittance into the country at a later date.

Brown was supposed to do the two shows with Trey Songz, who was already in Canada. Trey has been venting his frustrations of the cancellations via Twitter throughout the week saying, "Frustration. In Montreal with nothing to do. Bulls**t." The "Between the Sheets" shows were to be performed at Montreal's Bell Centre on Tuesday and Toronto's Air Canada Center on Wednesday night, according to Ace Showbiz.

Spokesman for Canada Border Services Stephane Malepart told USA Today that involvement with criminal activity, as well as other various factors, determines whether people can get into the country.

This isn't the first time Brown has been denied access to a country. In 2010, Brown was refused a Visa from the British government's Home Office due to past criminal record. The Grammy-winning, R&B singer has had numerous criminal reports, including violating his probation last year in Washington.

The tour has had some speculations of being a bad one with Brown canceling a concert in Minneapolis for supposed low ticket sales earlier this month. The "Between the Sheets" tour will continue on February 27 at the Allstate Area in Rosemont, Illinois.
