Chris Brown Battery Charge News: R&B Singer Faces Another Case after Basketball Game Fight

R&B singer Chris Brown is in hot water once again as he is now facing yet another battery accusation just days after he performed in Las Vegas over the weekend. As reported by the Associated Press, Brown is suspected of beating a man who was found at the Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center in the early hours of Monday morning.

The incident allegedly occurred days after performing at an after party following the highly anticipated bout between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao. The show was billed as the kickoff to his residency at the nightclub Drai's.

According to the report, the battered man was playing basketball at the Palms Casino Resort when he got into a verbal altercation with the entertainer. The man claimed that shortly after the argument, Brown punched him, which was followed by another hit by the singer's company.

Officers say they have given Brown an option to sign off on a misdemeanor battery citation, or have the case turned over to the Clark County District Attorney's Office, as per the report.

As clarified by Officer Larry Hatfield, signing off on the citation is an acknowledgment of the accusation and not an admission of guilt. Should Brown sign off on it, he would be given a court date months from now.

The incident reportedly occurred at a basketball-themed luxury suite at the resort, which goes for a rate of $25,000 a night. The Palms Casino Resort's Hardwood Suite has a total area of 10,000 square feet, and has an indoor basketball court, complete with shower rooms, and a 24-hour butler.

As noted by the report, Brown was just recently released from probation for felony assault. Brown infamously pled guilty to an attack against his former girlfriend, singer Rihanna, back in 2009.

As of this writing, Brown's attorney could not be reached for comment, but sources are reporting that the case against Brown has been dropped.
