The new season of "Chicago P.D." is set to arrive in September and will see the development of a possible perfect romance story. It will also follow Hank Voight as he goes on a downward spiral.

It can be recalled that in the season 3 finale, Voight tried to chase the man who murdered his son. When Erin Lindsay saw him, she was surprised to see Voight already burying the killer.

In season 4, Voight will have a hard time coping with the death of his son in the upcoming season. In the course of his grieving process, he will tend to make poor decisions which might cost his possible promotion as the head of intelligence.

As for Lindsay, she will struggle as she decides what to do with Voight. In the final episode of the previous season, Voight told her to escape so she would not be a witness. However, Lindsay's dilemma is that if Voight killed the man who murdered his son, she would be an accessory to the crime if she would not report him.

It remains to be seen if Lindsay will choose to protect Voight, considering how much she looks up to him. What makes it harder for her to decide is that if she keeps quiet and others find out that she actually witnessed what Voight had done, she could lose everything she has worked so hard for.

According to reports, Lindsay will turn to Jay Halstead, her boyfriend, as she makes this difficult choice.
