Burgess will finally decide on her feelings for Roman in the next episode of "Chicago PD" season 3.

Burgess previously told Lindsay about her feelings for her partner. However, she is still not certain if she wants to have a relationship with him since she just broke up with Ruzek. The two already had plans of getting married, but Ruzek always ended up not setting a definite date for their wedding. It turned out that he was really in love with Burgess, but not enough to see himself walking down the aisle with her.

Heartbroken, Burgess gave back the ring to Ruzek and tried to handle the situation as best she could. As she tried to cope with her failed engagement with Ruzek, she found comfort in her close friend Roman, who also happens to be her ex-fiance's good friend. What will make things even more complicated is that Roman and Burgess will realize their growing feelings for each other.

Recently, actress Squerciati talked about her character's thoughts about this growing affair. She said Burgess will pursue things that make her happy and leave behind things that make her sad. She also disclosed that for the rest of the season, she will feel more comfortable with her new job.

"She started so green and I think the streets take away a little bit of that in a way. The sheen is a little bit worn off at this point. I think even though she loved Ruzek, when someone's not totally committed, it also wears away at you a little. Ultimately, I'm going to try and bring back a little more joy into Burgess," she said.
