Champions League 2015 News: What's on the Play for the 2015 Draw

The 2015-16 Champions League groupings were finalized Thursday and saw Spain fielding five clubs in the group phase. As noted by Bleacher Report, Astana became Kazakhstan's first representatives into tournament following their APOEL playoffs win.

Pot 3 should be a dangerous bunch with clubs like Sevilla, Roma and Lyon all vying to advance, while Bleacher Report names German teams Borussia Monchengladbach and Wolfsburg as the team's to avoid in Pot 4.

Here are the rest of the groupings:

Group A is comprised of Paris Saint-Germain, Spanish giants Real Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk and Malmo FF; Group B has PSV Eindhoven, Manchester United, CSKA Moscow and Wolfsburg; Group C teams include Benfica, Atletico Madrid, Galatasaray and Astana; the dangerous Group D is made up of Juventus, Manchester City, Sevilla and Borussia Monchengladbach; Group E sees Spanish and German titans Barcelona and Bayer Leverkusen together with Roma and BATE Borisov; Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Olympiacos and Dinamo Zagreb fill Group F; Chelsea, Porto, Dinamo Kiev and Maccabi Tel-Aviv form Group G; while Group H is made up of Zenit, Valencia, Lyon and Gent.

Group stage dates are: Sept. 15/16 for Matchday 1; Sept. 29/30 for Matchday 2; Oct. 20/21 for Matchday 3; Nov. ¾ for Matchday 4; Nov. 24/25 for Matchday 5; and Dec. 8/9 for Matchday 6.

"No team loves a tough Champions League group like Manchester City," tweeted Match of the Day host Gary Lineker. While football pundit Tancredi Palmeri expressed how this is nothing new for City, but is a much different scenario for Juventus.

"Very bad for Juve, normal for Manchester City," he tweeted.

Sevilla, who are with City and Juventus in Group D have been playing well against Europe, having won back-to-back Europa League titles, while also adding talent over the summer. They should be a force to be reckoned with, at least in the group stages.
