CBS New Series 2015 Lineup News: 'Battle Creek' and 'CSI: Cyber' to Join Primetime Lineup Next Year
CBS announced this week that they will be adding two new crime dramas to their primetime lineup, 'Battle Creek' and 'CSI: Cyber', which are set to premiere in March 2015.
First off, 'Battle Creek' is penned by the masters who brought us shows like 'House' and 'Breaking Bad'. The show will focus on police officers who are fighting crime in Battle Creek, Michigan. The two main protagonists have completely different ways and opinions when it comes to solving crime. We will see their frustrations throughout the show and the creators will include some humor as well.
On the other hand, 'CSI: Cyber' is another CSI spinoff. It features Patricia Arquette as the head of the Cyber Crime Division of the FBI. The show will center on Cyber criminals such as hackers and even online stalkers.
On a side note, the show might go as far as to base some episodes on the online phenomenon of "catfishing."
The show will also star James Van Der Beek and Peter MacNicol. Many fans of the CSI series are really excited about this series, as are the creators. They want this series to have the feel that the original CSI did when it first premiered.
CBS has been trying to gain ratings and viewers and some think that by adding these two shows to their lineup, they can accomplish just that. Also, by casting famous actors on these series, CBS might just break the threshold in the running for the most watched network.
All in all, fans of crime dramas can be assured that these two shows will have them glued to their TV sets beginning in March, 2015.
