Kate will find herself a bit jealous of her husband's good friend Hayley in episode 18 of "Castle" season 8.

Titled "Backstabber," the episode will see Hayley being mistakenly involved in a killing and cyber-terror attack that she has not committed. As the go-getting investigator tries to make sense of the mess she got in, Rick and his wife Kate will come to her rescue and do everything in their power to clear up her name.

Promo video for the episode shows that despite being grateful for Rick, Hayley will still feel hesitant about entrusting her case to him because he has never experienced working on such a case before.

As Rick and Hayley playfully talk about Rick's ability in solving the case, Kate will feel secretly infuriated. In the clip, she is shown having that prying, jealous look on her face, as if trying to figure out how close her husband is to Hayley. It can be remembered that she just got back together with Rick after their months-long split.

In an interview last year, actress Olagundoye answered rumors about Hayley's possible romantic connection with Rick. She said her character would be nothing more than a love interest for her friend.

"Honestly, I would have resented, after 21 years as an actor, to be brought on a show simply to be somebody's romantic interest. It's not soap opera. So I like the fact that work is No. 1 on her plate; you shouldn't have time for anything else. I mean, she's flying between countries, for God's sake, to get her work done. I do like showing, 'Yeah, there are women in this world who aren't just looking for guys.' It's kinda cool," she said.
