With only three more episodes remaining before the crime television drama series 'Castle' Season 7 finale, more details regarding the final episode are flooding the Internet. Already, ABC has released the official synopsis of the finale, to give the fans a taste of what is lying ahead.

Christian Today reports that official synopsis reads, "A death in the woods draws Castle (Nathan Fillion) back to a terrifying and defining event in his childhood. Investigation leads to obsession, as he attempts to unearth answers that have eluded him for decades, all while Beckett (Stana Katic) faces a crossroads of her own."

Nevertheless, the network has yet to reveal anything regarding the future of the show. Fans of 'Castle' fans are eagerly waiting for an announcement regarding the about an eighth season of the series. Meanwhile, Fillion has already expressed his desire to reprise his role and has reportedly signed up for some more seasons recently. However, the same enthusiasm is not prevalent in all the other cast members of the series.

Katic recently revealed in a recent interview with TV Line that she is thinking of joining the show for Season 8.

The actress told the media outlet, "For me it's about art over finance, and as long as we're creating something that is compelling and that has somewhere to go, then we're good to go. And when we find that we're not, when we don't have anywhere else to go, then it's time for everyone to pack up and move onto the next thing."

Now, the question is whether this suggests that Castle will lose Beckett when the crime television series returns after Season 7?

Meanwhile, series showrunner David Amman, who has written most of the episodes of the show, has also taken a decision to quit the series. On the other hand, series creator Andrew Marlowe is said to be l undecided on whether he will continue working for 'Castle,' provided it is renewed for Season 8.
