'Castle' Season 7 Episode 8 titled "Kill Switch" was a sort of a nail-biter, as the viewers were on the edge to find out whether Esposito would be able to flee the subway after the cop's train was captured by activists.

Now the upcoming episode titled "Last Action Hero" seems to be plenty of fun, since Castle (Nathan Fillion) in a way, comes across one of his favorite actors.

With regards to the official synopsis of 'Castle' Season 7 Episode 9 "Last Action Hero," IBTimes reports that in the upcoming episode fans will see Castle and Beckett (Stana Katic) working on a new case.

During the course of investigation Castle discovers that the murder victim was none, but the star of his favorite action movie from the 1980s. Now the couple probes into the case with the help of another action star, Brock Harmon (guest star Ted McGinley), expecting to identify the killer.

The promo of 'Castle' Season 7 Episode 9 reveals that Castle definitely enjoying investigating the world of action movies. On the other hand, Beckett is not as motivated.

The synopsis reads, "When the star of Castle's favorite '80's action movie is mysteriously murdered, Castle and Beckett delve into the victim's secret past and pursue his killer with help from a team of aging action heroes. Krista Allen and Ted McGinley guest star."

Meanwhile, it is likely that the fans will be looking forward to new happenings in the lives of Esposito and Lanie (Tamala Jones) following what they watched in the previous episode. In "Kill Switch," fans saw Lanie being shaken seriously when she saw Esposito getting trapped in a life or death situation.

Moreover, another cop who was on the train with Esposito said that the latter mouthed her name before going for the killer.

As the couple shared an on-off-and-on-again relationship towards the end of the previous episode after they reunited, fans are wondering whether there will be something new in the upcoming episode. They are eager to know if Esposito and Lanie will get together for real. Most importantly, they also want to know what will happen when Castle probes into the 1980s action movies.

'Castle' Season 7 Episode 9 entitled "Last Action Hero" will air on Monday, Dec. 1, at 10 pm EST on ABC.
